Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 and the smooth runners 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
