So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
