The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And by oath of the day when it shines 2 and That which created the male and the female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 And his substance will avail him not when he perisheth. 11 Surely Ours is it to show the way, 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 For, distant from it shall remain he who is truly conscious of God: 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
