The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And raiding at dawn 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
