Say: "O Lord, if I am made to see what has been promised them, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They shall say, 'Our Lord, our adversity prevailed over us; we were an erring people. 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 Allah will say, “Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me.” 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' ” 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King! there is no god but he, Lord of the Throne honoured. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
