Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 The revelation of this Book free of doubt and involution is from the Lord of all the worlds. 2 Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided. 3 It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded? 4 He directs all affairs from heaven to earth. Then all will again ascend to Him on a Day whose length is a thousand years by the way you measure. 5 Such is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty, the Merciful. 6 Who made everything He has created good, and He began the creation of man from clay. 7 then He causes him to be begotten out of the essence of a humble fluid; 8 then He duly proportioned him, and breathed into him of His spirit, and bestowed upon you ears and eyes and hearts. And yet, little thanks do you give. 9 They have said, "How can we be brought to life again after we have been lost in the earth?" In fact, they have no faith in the Day of Judgment 10 ۞ (Muhammad), say, "The angel of death, who is appointed over everyone of you, will cause you to die and to your Lord you will all return." 11
