Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
