Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay, he has brought them the Truth and it is the Truth that most of them disdain. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
