۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 What then, shall we not die 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have indeed made that a punishment for the unjust. 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
