Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
