The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and those that blow gently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And those who govern the event, 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
