The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
