Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
