Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
