Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble scribes 11 who know all that you do: 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
