Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 for whatever they have done! 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
