Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A multitude of those of old 39 And a numerous company from among the last. 40 As for the People on the Left: how miserable will be the People on the Left! 41 Amidst scorching wind and scalding water. 42 And in the shadow of a burning smoke. 43 neither cool nor refreshing. 44 They were endowed with good things 45 But persisted in that greater sin, 46 and constantly said: 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be restored to life? 47 Or our fathers of yore? 48 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! those of old and those of later time 49 "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 50 Then you erring ones, you that cried lies, 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 Fill your bellies with it, 53 and drink on top of that boiling water 54 Drinking even as the camel drinketh. 55 Such shall be your hospitality on the Day of Recompense. 56 We created you. Will ye then admit the truth? 57 Have you thought about what (sperm) you ejaculate? 58 Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? 59 We mete out death among you, and We are not to be outrun, 60 from changing the nature of your existence and bringing you into being [anew] in a manner [as yet] unknown to you. 61 And assuredly ye have fully known the first production wherefore heed ye not? 62 Have you thought about what crops you plant? 63 Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower? 64 If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder, 65 “We have been penalised; 66 Indeed, we have been deprived of the fruits of our labour." 67 Tell Me! The water that you drink. 68 Is it you who brought it down from the clouds or is it We Who brought it down? 69 [It comes down sweet - but] were it Our will, We could make it burningly salty and bitter: why, then, do you not give thanks [unto Us]? 70 Have you seen the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower? 72 We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. 73 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 74

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
