And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
