'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 To strengthen me 31 And let him share my task, 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 and may remember You much. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
