The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
