3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
