The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 there is no denying its coming 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 and a few from later times. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 and continuous shade, 30 And water poured out 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 on raised couches. 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 And made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
