۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
