The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
