3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
