The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is torn apart, 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 when earth is stretched out 3 and casts out all that is within it and becomes empty; 4 And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; 5 O man, indeed you have to surely run towards your Lord, and to meet him. 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 He truly will receive an easy reckoning 8 and he will return to his family joyfully. 9 But he who is given his Record behind his back,- 10 they will say, "Woe to us!" 11 and he shall roast at a Blaze. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 Never thinking he will return. 14 Why not? His Lord was always watching him. 15 I do not need to swear by the sunset, 16 And by the night and that which it driveth together, 17 And by the moon when she becometh full. 18 That you shall most certainly enter one state after another. 19 What is the matter with them that they do not accept faith? 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? ۩ 21 But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 Therefore, give them the news of a painful punishment. 24 except those that believe, and do righteous deeds -- theirs shall be a wage unfailing. 25
