54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

HaMeem. 1 THE BESTOWAL from on high [of this revelation] issues from the Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace: 2 A Book, whereof the verses are explained in detail;- a Qur'an in Arabic, for people who understand;- 3 Good tidings and a warning. But most of them turn away so that they hear not. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say thou, [O Prophet:] "I am but a mortal like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is the One God: go, then, straight towards Him and seek His forgiveness!" And woe unto those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him, 6 [and] those who do not spend in charity: for it is they, they who [thus] deny the truth of the life to come! 7 Lo! as for those who believe and do good works, for them is a reward enduring. 8
