Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
