The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
