Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And there were those who said, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
