(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say: "That is a Message Supreme (above all),- 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 [Say, O Muhammad:] "No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man,] 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
