No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
