Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
