Whatever misfortune befalls you is a consequence of your deeds; yet He forgives much. 30 And you cannot escape from Allah (i.e. His Punishment) in the earth, and besides Allah you have neither any Wali (guardian or a protector) nor any helper. 31 Ships sailing in the ocean like ensigns are a sign of His. 32 if He willed, He could bring the wind to a standstill and they would lie motionless on the surface of the sea, truly there are signs in this for anyone who is steadfast and grateful, 33 Or He may destroy them because of that which they have earned, and He may pardon many of them. 34 And (that) those who dispute about Our communications may know; there is no place of refuge for them. 35 So whatever thing you have been given - it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely 36 And those who avoid heinous sins and indecencies, and when they are wroth forgive. 37 And those who have responded to their lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend. 38 who, when they are attacked, defend themselves. 39 The retribution of a harmful deed is the harm equal to it; so whoever forgives and makes amends, so his reward is upon Allah; indeed He does not befriend the unjust. 40 Those who successfully defend themselves after being wronged will not be questioned. 41 The way (to blame) is only against those who oppress men and revolt in the earth unjustly; these shall have a painful punishment. 42 But he who bears with patience and forgives, surely complies with divine resolve. 43
