And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
