Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
