So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." 62 They replied, "We have come to you about the matter which the (unbelievers) have rejected. 63 "Yet we bring to you the truth, and we are truthful. 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 And We communicated to him the decree that by the morning those people will be totally destroyed. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 He said: "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They said: Have we not forbidden you from (other) people? 70 Lot said, "These are my daughters if you want them." 71 By your life, (O Prophet), they went about blindly stumbling in their intoxication. 72 Then the mighty Blast caught them at sunrise, 73 And We turned the township upside down and rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Lo! therein verily are portents for those who read the signs. 75 This (city) lies on a road that still survives. 76 Verily in that is a sign for the believers. 77 AND THE DWELLERS of the wooded dales [of Madyan, too,] were inveterate evildoers, 78 So We took vengeance on them. And verily both are on a high-road open. 79
