The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
