Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
