The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
