We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
