Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 'Ain-Sin-Qaf. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 2 As such Allah, the Almighty, the Wise reveals to you (Prophet Muhammad) and to those before you. 3 All that is in the heavens and earth belongs to Him: He is the Exalted, the Almighty. 4 The skies are near to bursting asunder above them (for awe of Him), and the angels sing the praises of their Lord, imploring forgiveness for the dwellers of the earth. Is it not that God is forgiving and merciful? 5 And (as for) those who take guardians besides Him, Allah watches over them, and you have not charge over them. 6 And thus We have revealed unto thee a Qur'an in Arabic, that thou mayest warn the mother of towns and those around it, and that thou mayest warn them of a Day of Assembling whereof there is no doubt. A party will be in the Garden, and a party in the Blaze. 7 Had God wanted, He could have made them all one single nation, but He grants mercy to whomever He wills. The unjust will have no guardian or helper. 8 Or have they chosen protecting friends besides Him? But Allah, He (alone) is the Protecting Friend. He quickeneth the dead, and He is Able to do all things. 9
