The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 and by the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
