Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? 30 And We placed firm mountains on earth lest it should sway with them, and We made wide paths in them that they may find their way; 31 And we have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents. 32 And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit. 33 AND [remind those who deny thee, O Prophet, that] never have We granted life everlasting to any mortal before thee: but do they, perchance, hope that although thou must die, they will live forever?" 34 Every soul will know the taste of death. We tempt you with evil and with good as a trial; and to Us you will return. 35 When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. "Is this," (they say), "the one who talks of your gods?" and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious! 36 Man has been created hasty; very soon I shall show you My signs, do not be impatient. 37 They say: "(Tell us) when will the threat of punishment come to pass if you are truthful?" 38 If they but knew - they who are bent on denying the truth - [that there will come] a time when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor from their backs, and will not find any succour! 39 Nay, but [the Last Hour] will come upon them of a sudden, and will stupefy them: and they will be unable to avert it, and neither wilt they be allowed any respite. 40 Before you, other Messengers were mocked, but the mockers were encompassed by the very thing they mocked. 41
