The unbelievers have said, "Shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust? 67 "It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 (Muhammad), do not be grieved (about their disbelief) nor distressed about their evil plans against you. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 And indeed it is a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; surely you are on the clear truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah]. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
