Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 we are the rangers, 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
