The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 has created man, 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
