The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 And spreading shade, 30 near to flowing water 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 and raised couches 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 and made them virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
