۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities musterers: 53 'Behold, these are a small troop, 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 'No, indeed' he replied, 'my Lord is with me and He will guide me' 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 And We advanced thereto the pursuers. 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
