Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know: 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your God is One God; so direct yourselves straight to Him, and seek His forgiveness. Woe to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity, 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
